Platform Overview

Checkout lets users purchase specific digital assets, such as NFTs, memecoins, or closed-loop tokens, using cards or crypto, with the asset delivered directly to their wallet. Onramp lets users fund their wallets with stablecoins to hold, send, or spend later, without purchasing a specific item.

Checkout supports different tokenized assets, including closed-loop tokens, LLM inference tokens, loyalty points, certain memecoins, NFTs, and more. To learn more, contact us.

Integration & Development

Embedded Checkout is recommended for most teams. Add customizable components to your app while Crossmint handles payment orchestration, transaction states, and errors.

Headless Checkout provides REST APIs to create and manage purchases programmatically, giving you full control over the checkout experience. Ideal for custom interfaces, backend workflows, and AI agents.

Webhooks report each step of an order: quote created and updated, payment succeeded or failed, delivery initiated, completed or failed. You can also monitor transactions from the console.

Payments & Risk

Crossmint takes on the chargeback risk and manages disputes directly with the bank, so you don't have to.

Crossmint places an authorization hold on the buyer's card before the transaction starts, and captures the funds only once it completes. If it fails, the hold is released and the buyer is not charged.

The standard limit is $2,000 per user per day, reset daily at midnight US Eastern Time. Contact sales for higher limits.

Business Operations

Checkout is available in all non-sanctioned geographies. Since July 1, 2026, token checkout (memecoins, closed-loop and other fungible tokens) is not available for buyers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Brazil. NFT checkout remains available there.

Staging is self-serve: create a staging console account and start building. Production access needs a signed order form and business verification (KYB). Talk to sales to get started.
