Crossmint Joins Solana Developer Platform as Wallet and Payments Infrastructure

March 24, 2026

Enterprises building stablecoin products on Solana now have a faster path to production. Crossmint is joining Solana Developer Platform (SDP) as an official launch partner for wallet and payments infrastructure — bringing onramps, offramps, and enterprise smart wallets to the Solana Foundation's API-driven platform.

What is Solana Developer Platform (SDP)?

For enterprises looking to deploy products on Solana, assembling a compliant, production-ready infrastructure stack has meant months of vendor evaluation and custom integration work.

SDP addresses this directly by providing modules for issuance, payments and trading within a single, API-driven interface. The platform aggregates infrastructure across the Solana ecosystem, including node providers, wallet solutions, compliance tooling, and stablecoin ramps so enterprises can get to market faster.

Early users of SDP include Western Union for cross-border payments, Mastercard for stablecoin settlement, and Worldpay for merchant payments and settlement.

The Ramp and Wallet Infrastructure Powering SDP Builders

Crossmint provides everything SDP builders need to build stablecoin flows end-to-end. For enterprises, Crossmint provides two core capabilities: onramps and offramps covering 180+ countries and programmable smart wallet infrastructure purpose-built for fintech and enterprise use cases.

Crossmint's ramp infrastructure handles both directions of the fiat-to-stablecoin conversion which gives enterprises building on SDP a single integration to move money in, move money out, and pay anyone, anywhere. No separate payment provider required.

Onramps

  • Fully managed or headless: bring your own payment processor or use Crossmint end-to-end with KYC/KYB, AML screening, and chargeback protection included
  • Cards, ACH, bank transfers, and local payment methods across 180+ countries

Offramps

  • Pay out to users, vendors, or company bank accounts via local bank rails, mobile money, or cash pickup at 100,000+ agent locations globally
  • 180+ countries covered

The infrastructure is already running at scale: FOMO crossed $1 billion in trading volume across 200,000+ users in 2025 using Crossmint ramps.

On the wallet side, Crossmint's smart wallets are designed to be flexible as products evolve and regulatory requirements shift unlike basic EOA or key-custody solutions:

  • Upgradeable without disruption: Wallet addresses are decoupled from the underlying signer, so enterprises can rotate or swap signing methods at any time without changing wallet addresses or migrating users.
  • Programmable rules enforced onchain: Operational signers can be scoped with permissions and spending limits, enabling compliant payment flows that don't rely on off-chain controls.
  • Custodial, non-custodial, or hybrid: Enterprises choose the custody model that fits their product and compliance requirements and can change it without rebuilding their integration.
  • No vendor lock-in: Enterprises own the contracts and can migrate signers at any time, without disrupting their product or their users.

In practice, an enterprise building on SDP with Crossmint can build a complete stablecoin product: onramps to fund wallets from fiat or crypto, smart wallets for users or backend operations, programmable payment flows with delegated signers and spending policies, and cross-chain stablecoin orchestration to move value across networks.

"A lot of enterprises come to Solana with a clear vision but no clear path to handling money movement. That's the gap we fill. Onramps, wallets, payouts. It's all there, and we've proven it works at scale.” Rodri Fernández Touza, Co-Founder at Crossmint

"SDP allows enterprises to build in days, rather than months. Infrastructure partners like Crossmint will help accelerate enterprises’ stablecoin solutions and we’re eager to see the growth it enables.” Catherine Gu, Head of Product, Digital Assets, Solana Foundation.

Who is SDP for?

SDP is designed for financial institutions and enterprises that want to move stablecoins and digital assets on Solana without building blockchain infrastructure from scratch. The platform is particularly well-suited for:

  • Fintechs and neobanks looking to add stablecoin accounts, stablecoin payments, or on-chain yield to their existing product stack. SDP gives them the wallets, ramps, and compliance infrastructure to launch these features without stitching together multiple vendors.
  • Remittance and cross-border payment companies that need fast, low-cost stablecoin rails and global payout capabilities. Stablecoin settlement on Solana settles in under a second at a fraction of the cost of traditional correspondent banking.
  • Payroll providers disbursing salaries or contractor payments in stablecoins across multiple countries. SDP's payments module handles the stablecoin flows, while the compliance layer covers the KYC and Travel Rule requirements that cross-border payroll demands.
  • Financial institutions exploring stablecoin issuance, tokenized deposits, or real-world asset tokenization on a regulated, compliant infrastructure layer.

Building the Infrastructure Layer for Institutional Solana Adoption

SDP brings together over 20 infrastructure partners at launch, covering node infrastructure, compliance, wallets, and ramps. For institutions ready to move from exploration to production on Solana, the foundation is now in place.
