Digital media hubs

Crossmint and its sister company EuMediaNet is developing with tmf dialogmarketing and piranha presse & pr digital media hubs that go much further than today's online (social media) newsrooms. The hub enbles its customers to manage news , information, images, videos and other content as if it were a professional media broadcaster!

Nowadays public
relations both involves traditional channels (press clippings) as social media channels.
By setting up a digital media hub, customers or their agencies handling PR/marketing can now effectively handle a wide variety of
data sources that constantly pour into the hub. Effectively it is much more than a virtual
newsroom for DMOS, CVBs, tourist offices and/or agencies representing them. It is a complete media broadcasting system. The hub can also be easily extended at a later stage to include more locations
(offices) to include tools for social media monitoring, social media marketing
and social CRM and to include more digital channels (like websites, mobile
apps, TV) .

Capture

The hub has tools for every step of the news- and other content aggregation processes: capturing traditional news sources and
social media monitoring (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, right through to publishing and
archiving press- and social media releases to multiple channels (e.g. web,
mobile, social media, print). This includes newswires, magazine articles,
tweets, online discussions, live video and audio feeds, TV channels, email, RSS
feeds, audio files, ftp files and much more.

The hub manages the full array of data that pour into
modern online newsrooms, and makes it all easy to browse, edit and use. The hub
captures data from newswires, agencies and data services, including social
media, from all over the world in a variety of languages and character sets -
whether delivered as data files, via online streams or old-fashioned serial
data feeds. Even those occasional faxes still coming in can be handled. Once
data is in the system the hub provides the full range of tools you'd expect:
search, filtering by keyword, category, priority; and automatic purge of old
data based on configurable settings.

The hub ingests any number of Twitter feeds and treats
them just like a newswire. Or one can ingest any valid RSS feed to turn
virtually any news website, blog, or alert feed into another valuable news
source.

NB: the hub therefor enables organisations also to set up the basis for real-time social
media monitoring (PR control), including sentiment- and trends analysis and
crisis- and reputation management (to counter adverse publicity)..

Connect

The hub uses network connections to link relevant bureaus,
tour operators, agents, affiliates, trade and consumer media and -press, MICE
planners and PCOs, airlines and opinion leaders to the hub and the organsations using the hub (on location or in the field – for instance to cover an event- ,
whether it's across town or across the world).

Edit

The hub is built around seamlessly-integrated content
editors that are quick and simple to use and designed specifically for virtual
newsrooms. The hub includes complete tools for creating news stories and press-
and social media releases, even complete with embedded audio and video clips if
required.

Organize

The hub lets teams, whether a small group or
multi-office environment, easily share resources. Virtually everything in the
Hub can be opened simultaneously by many users, allowing a truly collaborative
news bulletins and/or press- and social media release production workflow.

A contacts database organizes the hub’s comprehensive
database with names, phone numbers and e-mails from an organisation's contacts in MICE and tourism. For each contact, the Hub lets you
store notes, maps, even video and audio clips inside each contact.

A full-featured assignment manager helps co-ordinate team
members, plan assignments and facilitate group projects. Keep track of idea,
upcoming events, complete with extra information like contact e-mail addresses
or notes from the assignment editor. Assign coverage to specific team members
and - thanks to remote access to the Hub - have them know what stories await
them before they leave home in the morning.

The hub's indexed archive allows fast searching of
large volumes of news data. Ideal for research, (weekly business review) reporting,
year-end reviews or awards entries, the Archive will keep as much or as little
data as you like.

Deliver

Once a news message and/or press- /social media
release is prepared in the hub, it can be published automatically to a
pre-selected audience, uploaded to social media networks (Twitter) and
integrated with the customer's website (or Facebook Page) and so forth.
The Piranha team members can also manually publish news messages and other
content (including video, audio), press- and social media releases to on-line
services or have the CMS of the customer's website automatically retrieve
relevant data from within the hub.

The hub’s intelligent replication system can automatically
push selected data to connected websites, social media networks, newsrooms and
other digital channels based on pre-defined business rules -- without anyone
having to feed, download or save anything. Set this up at multiple locations
and you can have your own mini-network for a fraction of the normal
infrastructure or staffing costs.

Send your headlines or complete news stories to other
outlets, websites, mobile services, RSS readers, etc. The hub exports the data
in standards-based RSS and XMLformats.
